Boy, things are getting dirty in the Inland Empire. And we're not just talking about the action around the stripper pole at the Rialto Spearmint Rhino, where, it's alleged, on-duty cops picked up employees and took them to their local union hall for sex. (We're guessing those handcuffs came in handy).

No, this is much nastier than that.

You see, Danuta W. Tuszynska, a lawyer for a Spearmint server who's suing the city over these “strippergate” allegations, says her law office was burglarized and ransacked this week, only days after she filed the suit.

And it's the second time this has happened: The first was when the waitress, Nancy Holtgreve, first brought her allegations to light and found her home had been broken into the next day.

Tuszynska told the Weekly that whoever hit her office knew what they were doing. She says her suite is in a building filled with executive offices and that hers was clearly targeted.

“Whoever came brought burglary tools with them,” the former prosecutor said. “I'm in executive suites, and they went right to my office.”

“I have my suspicions,” she said. “I'm not one who believes in coincidences. It's a pretty sophisticated burglary.”

Whoever hit the office ransacked her desk and took off with a few credit cards, although the San Bernardino Sun reports the cards were not used.

The $500,000 suit claims that Holtgreve was threatened, abused, and had her civil rights violated after she went to the Rialto Police Department with her allegations.
