DUI Collision Left Woman Seriously Hurt, One Arrested on Gowan Road

LAS VEGAS, NV (August 11, 2023) – Early Wednesday morning, Dakota Kauth was arrested following a DUI crash on Grand Canyon Drive. The incident occurred shortly before 5:00 p.m., near Grand Canyon Drive and Gowan Road. Officers arrived at the scene shortly after. According to reports, Dakota Kauth, the driver of a 1998 Chevy Tahoe, ran a stop sign at the junction and collided with a 2013 Volkswagen Convertible. The driver of the Volkswagen suffered serious injuries in the incident, including a cervical spine fracture, two deflated lungs, and shattered ribs. As of Friday, her present status was unknown. Eventually, paramedics arrived at the scene and transported the patient to a hospital with significant but non-life-threatening injuries. No further details regarding the Grand Canyon Drive DUI crash have been released to the public. Las Vegas Officials will provide more information once available.
