72-Year-Old Woman Pronounced Dead after Parking Lot Collision near Washington Street

PALM DESERT, CA (September 21, 2023) – Tuesday afternoon, a collision involving two cars occurred on Hovley Lane, resulting in the loss of Connie Ramirez.

Law enforcement responded at approximately 2:50 p.m., near the intersection of Washington Street in Palm Desert.

According to initial reports, an eastbound vehicle struck a woman who was in the process of making a southward turn into a parking area.

Upon arrival, medical personnel pronounced the female driver dead at the scene. Meanwhile, the driver of the eastbound vehicle was transported to a hospital to receive treatment for injuries that were non-life-threatening.

The Riverside County Sheriff’s Department officially identified the deceased victim as 72-year-old Ramirez, a resident of Palm Desert.
