After he ripped the mayor for proposed budget cuts to his office, it appears that Los Angeles City Attorney Carment Trutanich has patched things up with Mayor Antonio Villaraigosa in a one-on-one meeting that led to smaller hit on Trutanich's funds.

The Los Angeles Times reports that the two met Tuesday night and worked out a deal that will see cuts to Trutanich's office go from a proposed 18 percent to about 10 percent in the mayor's budget proposal for the fiscal year that starts July 1.

“We sat down and it was very friendly,” Trutanich told the Times.

That's a far cry from the letter he sent to the mayor last week accusing Villaraigosa of having “a remarkable lack of leadership and imagination.”
