“I was always told by my mother to ‘dream big,’” Char explains. “No one leaves my hometown; they stay there and have children young. At university, I was told I could learn residential design, but ‘you will make no money from residential design.’ I found a way to incorporate residential design into a commercial degree and designed a hotel, merging it with a wild concept. I ended up winning an award for it.”
Char’s unique style and authenticity have set her apart from the competition and attracted high-profile clients who love her approach. She’s not afraid to go against the grain and take risks, which has led to her designing some of the country’s most memorable and successful spaces. Her work on the popular restaurant Rosso, for example, has earned her the reputation as one of the top designers in the industry.

Working through each challenge has taught Char some valuable wisdom along the way. “I learned a great work ethic from my mother, who is a hard-working single mother,” says Char. “I also learned that sympathy gets us nowhere. The law of attraction is a real thing, so I manifest, visiualize it, and work hard to set goals.”
In the future, Char hopes to have a sought-after, high-end international design company recognized for its unique style and for serving the elite. She also dreams of one day recreating the concept hotel she designed at university, combining residential design with a wild concept to create a truly unique and memorable space. Her goal now is to become the best interior designer in England and beyond.
