49-Year-Old Man Arrested after DUI Collision near South Craycroft Road

TUCSON, AZ (April 11, 2024)Carlos Nerio was arrested Monday night and a man and woman were injured after a DUI crash on Golf Links and South Craycroft Road. The incident occurred at approximately 7:00 p.m., on April 1st.

Currently, the circumstances leading up to the incident remain uncertain. However, reports suggest that two vehicles collided near the intersection. Emergency medical personnel found a man and a woman with life-threatening injuries.

Paramedics promptly transported both victims to a nearby hospital for further medical attention. After initial investigations, authorities determined that the suspect, 49-year-old Carlos Nerio, was impaired. Nerio now faces charges including four counts of endangerment, aggravated assault resulting in serious physical injury, and criminal damage.
