BreadBar's Hatchi dinner series has broadened its culinary horizons to celebrate dinner's best friend: booze. For its second installation, Joel Black – mixologist at Caña Rum Bar – will be shaking up his “Rum Amok” cocktail menu at BreadBar's Century City location on Thursday, June 3rd from 6:00 p.m. to closing.
Black's eight rum-based cocktails are priced at $8/each and run the gamut from the traditional to exotic, including a Mai Tai, Gin & Terragonic and five-ingredient Blood & White Sand. That's white rum, pineapple, Cherry Heering, Carpano Antica Formula Sweet Vermouth and Bitter Truth Lemon Bitters, in case you're interested. And just to make sure you don't drink on an empty stomach, BreadBar will be serving pizzas and other rum-absorbing goodies from its new Pizza Mixo menu.
BreadBar's recurring Hatchi Mix series, hosted by BreadBar's Noriyuki Sugie, features a new mixologist the first Thursday of every month. Next on the line-up? Julian Cox of Rivera, mixing it up with tequilas on July 1.
