Think you know your Dylan? Grammy Museum executive director Bob Santelli leads this three-part seminar on how Bob Dylan became synonymous with ‘60s counterculture. The course explores how Dylan’s catalogue helped shaped the decade’s defining moments, including the Civil Rights Movement and the Vietnam War. Santelli and Dylan co-wrote the 2005 book The Bob Dylan Scrapbook, 1956-1966, an illustrated biography, which includes rare photographs, handwritten lyrics, memorabilia and interviews with the singer and fellow musicians, and which was used as a companion piece to Martin Scorsese’s documentary No Direction Home.
