54-Year-Old Woman Killed in Single-Vehicle Speeding Accident on FM 2694

SHELBY COUNTY, TX (February 1, 2024) – Monday morning Barbra Jackson was fatally injured in a single-vehicle collision on Farm-to-Market Road 2694.

The incident occurred at approximately 8:10 a.m., on January 15th.

According to accounts, the operator of a 2020 Jeep SUV was moving at excessive speeds, subsequently losing control and colliding with two trees. Following the impact, the vehicle ignited in flames. Responders successfully extracted the female driver from the engulfed vehicle.

Due to the severity of sustained injuries, emergency medical personnel declared 54-year-old Jackson from Shelbyville deceased at the accident site.

To facilitate clearing operations, the surrounding area was temporarily closed off by emergency personnel. As of now, no additional details have been disclosed publicly. Those with additional information about the incident are urged to promptly contact local authorities.
