One Hospitalized after Traffic Crash on Connie Drive

SACRAMENTO, CA (August 15, 2022) – Monday morning, a solo-car accident on Marconi Avenue claimed the lives of Atonio Makalio Taliauli and Deonzeo Talia’uli.

The incident occurred on August 1st, westbound on Interstate 80 along Marconi Avenue and Connie Drive.

According to reports, Atonio, Deonzeo, and one other were in a vehicle traveling along Interstate 80, when for reasons unknown, the driver lost control of the vehicle. The car crashed, rolled through a fence, and landed in the middle of Connie Drive. All three occupants of the vehicle were seriously injured.

Emergency personnel arrived at the site of the incident shortly after. Officials pronounced 25-year-old Atonio Makalio Taliauli dead at the scene. Meanwhile, medics rushed Deonzeo Talia’uli and the other victim to a local hospital, where 26-year-old Deonzeo Talia’uli later died, due to the extent of his injuries.

At this time, authorities are withholding the identity of the third man involved in the accident.
