Mexican singer-songwriter Frida Alitzel Arias Rivera, better known as ARIA, is turning up the heat on streaming platforms with her latest single, “GLOSSY,” a bold, sultry track that blends smooth R&B vibes with unmistakable Latin flair.

Following the success of her first album “AR1A (notas de un diario abandonado” and earlier singles, “Donde”, “YA NO”, “Ven Amor”, “Plastico”, “Safety Net”, “HIGH” and “ENOUGH 4 YOU”—which together have racked up hundreds of thousands of streams on Spotify alone—ARIA is giving fans another taste of her upcoming album, set to drop this summer.

In “GLOSSY,” ARIA fluidly switches between Spanish and English, mirroring the duality of her lived experience. Her velvety vocals glide across a production laced with funk, pop, hip-hop, and touches of Latin urban beats, showcasing her unique sonic identity and global appeal.

Originally from Mérida, Yucatán, ARIA first made her way to Mexico City before eventually planting roots in Los Angeles. It was in CDMX where ARIA truly began to sculpt her musical persona. While studying Engineering in Musical and Digital Production at the Instituto Tecnológico y de Estudios Superiores de Monterrey, she honed her skills and immersed herself in the local music scene. During that time, she collaborated with artists like León Leiden, Gabriel Bitrán, Ángel Vergara, and Maya UZ, also landed standout tracks like “Toda la Mañana,” a national contest favorite, and “Dónde,” which earned a spot on Spotify’s Fresh Finds Latin playlist. She also worked on projects with labels like Fabrika and The Orchard (Sony), and even graced the cover of Amazon Music Mexico’s R&B Hoy playlist.

ARIA’s debut album, “AR1A (Notas de un diario abandonado),” was a clear statement of intent—writing, producing, and creatively directing her own musical world. Songs like “YA NO,” “Safety Net,” and “Otro Día” offered a glimpse into her range and authenticity as an emerging artist with depth. Her performances, such as alongside Berklee College of Music, as the Opening Act for Pau Laggies Release show, at  Rudolph’s Bar and Tea, The Bourbon Room, and the festival Nucleo Emergente, also showcased her multifaceted artistry and commitment to innovation, as she blended engaging soundscapes with her distinct Latin influences.

More recently, ARIA took things further by earning a scholarship to Berklee College of Music, relocating to New York to refine her craft as a producer, songwriter, and mixer. There, she brought her sophomore album to life at the iconic Power Station studios—a space that’s seen legends like Bruno Mars, Alicia Keys, and Ariana Grande.

Though her second album is on the horizon, ARIA is fully focused on the now, with “GLOSSY” being her boldest chapter yet. Sexy, confident, and cheeky, the track celebrates her magnetic presence and lyrical fearlessness. ARIA owns the narrative, and “GLOSSY” is proof she’s here to take up space unapologetically. If you’re not already paying attention, now’s the time to hit play.
