If the dangers of texting while driving have been undersold to a callous public, here's a case that could change your mind:

Ani Voskanian faces a felony count of vehicular manslaughter in Glendale Superior Court after she allegedly killed an 80-year-old man while driving under the influence of smart phone.

The 20-year-old suspect was expected to enter a plea Tuesday afternoon.

The D.A.'s office contends that Voskanian's actions lead to the death of Misak Ranjbar on Sept. 15.

Voskanian was being held in lieu of a recommended $50,000 bail.

So there you have it. Some say texting while driving shouldn't be compared to driving under the influence. In this alleged case, the outcome appears to have been just as bad.
