Ah, springtime, when everything abounds: fauna, flora … bloodletting. Well, in the case of the latter anyway, it's a sure sign that the annual Creation Entertainment's Weekend of Horrors has returned to L.A. to roost, delivering a three-day celebration of the best and brightest in the art of scaring the pants off of you. The usual battery of special screenings, art exhibitions and vendors aplenty hawking creeptastic memorabilia will be on hand, as will an especially starry lineup of special guests; this year's biggest marquee name is undoubtedly Italy's master of the macabre Dario Argento, who will be making a rare stateside appearance on Sunday. Also on hand will be Nightmare on Elm Street stalwarts Robert Englund, Heather Langenkamp and the great John Saxon; almost the entire cast of Re-Animator — Jeffrey Combs, Barbara Crampton, Bruce Abbott, Robert Sampson, and director Stuart Gordon — for a special 25th anniversary panel; and tons more.
