Mito Aviles and ChadMichael Morrisette, rooftop installation artists extraordinaire, have created a tribute window to designer Alexander McQueen. The window is viewable at the shop Madison on Melrose. McQueen committed suicide last week. He was only 40 years old.

If you are unfamiliar with McQueen's work, even if you don't consider yourself a fashionista, I highly recommend checking out the video for his Spring/Summer 2010 womens line. The man was an artist. The show was called “Plato's Atlantis.” It was the show that featured these infamous alien shoes. It was a sleek, futuristic and sinister-feeling show full of snake and reptile imagery.
