What dad wouldn't want to spend Father's Day plane spotting? Okay, maybe not mine, but yours may enjoy Sunday Morning Coffee, a gathering of “plane spotters, aviation enthusiasts and the general public.” The spotting/enthusiasm takes place on the observation deck of the Theme Restaurant at LAX (which, by the way, is celebrating its 50th anniversary). The spotters are excited about seeing a Qantas A380, an Air New Zealand B777-300 and Turkish Airlines' B777-300ER aircraft. Participants have a chance to win a raffle for a special scale model of the new Singapore Airlines A380 jet, set to debut in July. LAX, Theme Restaurant; Sun., June 19, 8:30-11 a.m.; free.
