In a remarkable demonstration of dedication to empowering the upcoming generation, the 10th Annual Holiday High Tea, Art Basel style, was proudly sponsored by LearnVille.io and led by the visionary Carrie “Ms. NFTy” Lyn on December 8, 2023. Held at the prestigious 1 Hotel in South Beach during the renowned Art Basel, the event aimed to nurture well-rounded, self-aware, and inspired young women, equipping them with the tools to overcome obstacles and shape the future.

Originating in 2013, Lyn’s Holiday High Tea has evolved into a transformative experience for foster youth, not only motivating and inspiring them to pursue life goals but also providing access them with the tools and access to core life skills and support services otherwise unavailable to them.

In 2020, when Covid-19 paused the world, High Tea directed their commitment towards relief efforts,  by supplying masks to both underserved families and frontline workers. These masks, custom created by Artists and Influencers, became an integral part of the defense against the pandemic, finding their way into the critical settings of over 380 hospitals, government agencies, military installations, as well as police and fire departments in the bustling metropolises of New York and Los Angeles. This remarkable initiative not only exemplified High Tea’s dedication to community welfare but also showcased the fusion of creativity and functionality in the service of public health and safety.

Amidst the growing interest in NFTs and Cryptos in 2021, High Tea shifted its focus to educating participants on web3, NFTs and blockchain technology. Despite initial unfamiliarity, Lyn effectively illuminated the concept, fostering understanding among the participants. As part of this educational initiative, all participants received cryptocurrency assets, doubling upon the successful completion of Lyn’s one-year program on cryptocurrency and NFTs, thus enhancing both their knowledge and financial well-being.

Fast forwarding to 2023, this year’s event marked the 10-year anniversary of High Tea, coinciding with Art Basel—one of the largest global art fairs—hosted by the 1 Hotel. The focus extended beyond festivities, aiming to engage young girls by providing support services, attire for job interviews, and presenting opportunities for volunteering and internships.

Carrie Lyn, the driving force behind this impactful initiative, expressed gratitude to sponsors, including Daniel Mazzone, Dress for Success, 1 Hotel, Sephora, Alo Yoga, Prjct, Target, and NFT-VIP for their generosity. “My mission is to create an impact that will last longer than my life, and this is not something I can do on my own. It takes unity and continued support from brands and partners that care,” she shared.

The event served as a platform to bridge the gap between aspiration and achievement, ensuring that every young individual, regardless of their socio-economic background, has access to the transformative potential of innovation and boundless opportunities.

Each participant received a generously packed ALO Yoga Tote containing clothing, personal care items, books, food, gift cards, and even sunglasses, conveying the message that they are valued, deserving, seen, and cherished—a significant and integral part of our community.
