“I have nothing but praise for Moscow. The warmth and kindness I experienced from everyone I met was truly unforgettable. My time at Moscow Fashion Week opened my eyes to new ideas and improved my own craft,” said the founder of Pia Lindsay Studio.
Moscow Fashion Week took place in the Russian capital in mid-March and showcased an incredible diversity of cultures, trends and styles on its catwalks. More than 90 shows took place during the large-scale event in the historical Manège, next to the Kremlin, emphasizing the city’s rich heritage.
Designers from Asia, Europe, Africa and North America have presented their collections on the catwalks. “Participating in major events like Moscow Fashion Week significantly increases a brand’s visibilit,” Pia says. And indeed, the geography of Fashion Week participants and the amount of attention it attracts around the world allows brands to quickly and prominently present themselves on the international fashion scene.
Pia Lindsay admitted that she was deeply grateful to be one of the few international designers chosen to show her collection in Moscow: “This is an incredible opportunity to showcase my skills and talents. Moscow has always been a city I’ve dreamed of visiting and I’m passionate about learning from different cultural experiences.

Pia Lindsay shared that the Russian fashion brands’ collections have inspired her to explore new fashions: “I’m also excited to experiment with pastels, as seen in many Russian designers’ collections, while incorporating complementary bright or neon hues to stay true to my brand’s core identity. It’s a fun and fascinating concept to explore.
Loginov at Moscow Fashion Week
Indeed, Russian designers at Moscow Fashion Week showed many interesting new concepts and impressive creative reinventions that can motivate and impress. For example, the Loginov brand, which showed its collection on the same day of Moscow Fashion Week as Pia Lindsay Studio, was inspired by the star-studded aesthetic of the 1970s. The Moscow-based brand Vereja gave a new voice to the artisanal techniques of the past, making knitted ornaments an actual detail of its collection. And the Freedomtag brand combined trends from different styles – boho-chic, western, hippie and urban jeepsie.
