Pedestrian Crash on Cheyenne Avenue near Jones Boulevard Left One Fatality

LAS VEGAS, NV (October 18, 2022) – Monday morning, a pedestrian crash on Cheyenne Avenue left an unidentified man dead.

The collision took place at the intersection of Cheyenne Avenue and Jones Boulevard around 11:20 a.m. on October 3rd.

According to reports, a 2011 Nissan Altima driving on the eastbound lanes of Cheyenne Avenue struck a pedestrian in a wheelchair who was crossing in a crosswalk on the west side of the intersection. The impact of the crash caused the pedestrian to be ejected onto the roadway.

Responding paramedics then rushed the pedestrian to UMC Trauma where he later died from his injuries. At this time, authorities are withholding the identity of the pedestrian, pending notification of next of kin.

Meanwhile, the Nissan driver, whom police said did not show any signs of impairment, stayed at the scene and cooperated.

Currently, Las Vegas Police Department is continuing to investigate the fatal crash at Cheyenne Avenue and will release updates once they are available.
