2 Drivers Killed in Head-On Collision near Pierce College

WOODLAND, CA (August 31, 2022)  On Monday, 24-year-old Armen Benglyan and one other driver tragically died after a head-on crash at Victory Boulevard.

The tragic crash happened around 11:30 p.m. near Mason Avenue, just outside of Pierce College.

As per reports, the Chevy Malibu driver was traveling west on Victory when for unknown reasons, they drifted into the opposite lane and crashed head-on with a Honda CRV.

Paramedics arrived and pronounced the Chevy driver, Benglyan, dead at the scene. Meanwhile, the Honda driver, a man believed to be in his 40s, was pronounced dead later at a nearby hospital.

Moreover, authorities closed the surrounding area for an extended period of time to allow for cleanup and preliminary duties, but has since reopened.

Further details about the crash are not available as of this time. However, preliminary findings suggested that a speeding driver may have triggered the incident. An active investigation is underway.
