Two Fatally Struck in Pedestrian Accident near Milepost 70

EASTON, WA (October 6, 2023) – Late Sunday evening, two pedestrians were killed after a deadly multi-vehicle crash on Interstate 90. On September 10th, just before midnight, officers responded in the westbound lanes of the interstate involving a crash between two pedestrians and four vehicles. According to the Washington State Patrol, they discovered that the two pedestrians attempted to cross the highway near milepost 70 illegally. Furthermore, the two pedestrians were struck by the four vehicles, which resulted in them suffering life-threatening injuries. Unfortunately, both of them succumbed to their injuries, and responding paramedics pronounced them dead at the scene. Consequently, the authorities blocked the westbound lanes of the interstate, but it was later reopened at 2:30 a.m. The identities of the two pedestrians was not yet released by the authorities, and the crash is still under investigation.
