Pedestrian Fatally Struck in Hit-and-Run Collision on Orangeburg Avenue

MODESTO, CA (December 7, 2022) – Friday night, a male pedestrian was killed in a hit-and-run crash on Nelson Avenue.

The incident happened at around 9:00 p.m., involving a pedestrian and a vehicle.

According to reports, the pedestrian was struck by a dark-colored SUV or truck that was headed west. Following the collision, the driver of the SUV left the scene without rendering aid to the victim.

Emergency crews arrived shortly after and pronounced the man dead at the scene. At this time, authorities have not released the identity of the driver or the deceased victim.
