One Pronounced Dead after Pedestrian Accident near Belvedere Drive

SAN JOSE, CA (February 13, 2024) – One unidentified victim died Saturday afternoon, in a pedestrian collision on Saratoga Avenue and Belvedere Drive. Police officers responded to the scene around 2:48 p.m.

An ongoing investigation is underway to determine the cause behind a vehicle striking a pedestrian in the vicinity. Emergency responders conveyed the injured pedestrian to a nearby hospital, where they ultimately succumbed to their injuries.
 
The identity of the deceased victim has not been disclosed by authorities. In connection with the incident, San Jose officials have temporarily shut down the two southbound lanes of Saratoga Avenue, spanning from Blackford Circle to Belvedere Drive, for further examination.
