24-Year-Old Woman and 59-Year-Old Man Pronounced Dead after 2-Car Accident on I-90

SPOKANE, WA (May 6, 2024)Megan McDaniel and Alan Chang died early Thursday morning in a wrong-way accident on westbound Interstate 90. The incident occurred at approximately 2:30 a.m., on May 2nd.

Reports indicate that McDaniel, 24, was traveling eastbound in the westbound lanes under unknown circumstances. Consequently, his vehicle collided head-on with Chang, 59, who was traveling in the correct direction in the westbound lanes.

The collision proved fatal, resulting in the deaths of both McDaniel and Chang, despite both wearing seatbelts.

Law enforcement authorities closed all lanes for several hours to conduct investigations and clear the scene. The lanes were reopened by 7:00 a.m., with ongoing investigations continuing.
