56-Year-Old Man Pronounced Dead after Pedestrian Collision near Lustig Court

HAYWARD, CA (May 7, 2024) – One man was fatally struck Friday night, in a pedestrian accident on Tennyson Road and Lustig Court.

The incident occurred at approximately 10:23 p.m.

Upon reaching the scene, officers found a male victim on the roadway, suffering from fatal injuries. Despite life-saving efforts, the 56-year-old man succumbed to his injuries at the scene.
 
Meanwhile, the 29-year-old woman who was driving the vehicle stayed at the scene and cooperated fully with the ongoing investigation. Currently, the identity of the deceased pedestrian is being withheld from the public.
 
Authorities are actively investigating whether intoxication played a role in the collision. Hayward Officials urge anyone who witnessed the pedestrian accident on Tennyson Road to reach out to the department’s traffic bureau at 510-293-7066.
