Unidentified Male Pedestrian Killed in SUV Collision near Central Avenue

ALBUQUERQUE, NM (May 8, 2024) – One man died Wednesday afternoon, in a pedestrian crash on Louisiana Boulevard Northeast. Authorities responded to the scene at approximately 3:20 p.m., near Central Avenue on April 10th.

According to investigators, a man walking along the curb lost his balance and entered the northbound lanes. In those lanes, a white Buick SUV driver couldn’t avoid hitting the pedestrian.

The driver stayed at the scene and showed no signs of impairment, as per officers. The pedestrian succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced dead by medics at the scene.

Currently, an ongoing investigation seeks to uncover more details.
