Male Driver Pronounced Dead after Semi-Truck Accident near 12 ¾ Avenue

LATON, CA (May 3, 2024) – One man died Wednesday night in a pickup-truck vs semi-truck crash on Douglas Avenue. The incident occurred at approximately 8:00 p.m., near 12 ¾ Avenue.

Investigators report that the driver of a Chevrolet pickup truck collided with a southbound semi-truck after disregarding a stop sign. The collision resulted in major injuries for the pickup truck driver.

Despite attempts by medics to save their life, the Chevrolet driver was pronounced dead at the scene. The identity of the deceased victim has not yet been disclosed to the public.
