Yung Raja Wants his Mami: Singaporean bilingual rapper Yung Raja has dropped new single “Mami.” Collaborating with Flightsch, the song is a “psychedelic, trap heavy” banger.

Based on the lyrics, it’s clear that the eponymous Mami has “got the type of hips that make my vision blur. Mami looking like she’s sweeter that dessert.”

The song is a groove-heavy party anthem. The artist is clearly after a good time, lavishing praise on the object of his affections.

According to the press release, “Yung Raja was inspired by the word’s similar meaning in different languages (Tamil, Spanish, English) and he infused his signature multi-lingual wordplay to create an addictive offering loaded with cultural references.”

Fair enough.
