Daniela LaFaveKirsten Too Sweet swapped vlogging for velocity this weekend, making her debut at Orlando Speedworld and clocking an eye-catching 10.5 seconds on the drag strip.
The 24-year-old YouTuber, known for her candid lifestyle content and openness about living with Type 1 diabetes, brought viewers along as she prepped for her first-ever quarter-mile race. From a Starbucks stop for what she called “race fuel” to lining up nervously at the track, Kirsten captured the entire experience for her channel.
“I’ve literally never done that in my life,” she told fans before pulling up to the start. “But I know how to drive a car, and that’s all that matters, right?”
Her car of choice was a Porsche Taycan Turbo S, a high-powered electric sedan built for speed. Even before her first run, she admitted the machine was intimidating. “It’s electric and it’s fast, that’s for sure. I’m definitely a little nervous,” she said.
That hesitation quickly turned to adrenaline once the lights turned green. “Oh my god, I’m smoking this guy,” she shouted mid-race. “I won. I smoked that guy. I’m literally going to throw up. That was insane.”
Over the course of the day, Kirsten made four runs — two in the 11-second range and two under 11. Her top time of 10.5 seconds placed her among the quickest street-legal electric cars on the track.
“I’m definitely the fastest street car in terms of gear today. Wow. A 10 freaking five,” she said, still buzzing after the run. “I’m a racer. I’m a racer. That’s crazy.”
Fans flooded her channel with supportive messages, praising her for stepping outside her comfort zone — something she often discusses while reflecting on her health journey. Kirsten acknowledged the nerves but credited the car for helping her push through.
“I was nervous, honestly. Like, I would have been kind of okay if I didn’t come,” she admitted. “But I still went through and luckily I got to do four runs. Listen, I’ve never raced. I’ve never done a quarter mile in my life. So when you have a good car, it all works out.”
As for what’s next, the influencer hinted this may only be the beginning of her racing adventures. “I think I’m going to come back next time with a faster car, which honestly is going to be a challenge ’cause I know I was already kind of up there,” she said. “So, if anyone has a faster car I can borrow for next time, that would be really cool. Your girl just hit a 10.5.”
