Xuefeng Li Awarded Gold at the 2024 International Design Awards for Humanitarian Architectural Design
Renowned architectural designer Xuefeng Li (Frank) has been awarded the Gold Award at the 2024 International Design Awards (IDA), one of the world’s most prestigious and competitive design accolades. Li’s award-winning project, Transitional Housing for Homeless People, showcases his distinctive approach to architecture—creating not just structures but transformative spaces that directly impact and uplift communities.
The IDA 2024 Gold Award honors designs that push the boundaries of creativity, innovation, and humanitarian efforts. Transitional Housing for Homeless People, designed for the nonprofit organization HopePHL, won in both the Humanitarian Project Designs and Other Architectural Designs categories for its forward-thinking, compassionate response to the global homelessness crisis.
The International Design Awards is renowned for attracting thousands of high-quality submissions from over 80 countries. This year’s competition was especially fierce, and the high standards set by the jury made winning a Gold Award a remarkable achievement. Li’s design stood out for its combination of architectural excellence and humanitarian impact, addressing a critical social issue through thoughtful and sustainable design.

Li will be attending the exclusive IDA Gala in Oslo, Norway, in May 2025, where winners will be celebrated at a ceremony at the National Museum. The event will bring together the world’s leading designers to showcase cutting-edge work in architecture, product design, and more.
