Contemplate life, death and the mysterious in-between aboard a luxury blood-red motor-coach with Los Angeles' biggest booster and author of the Los Angeles magazine column, “Ask Chris,” as he presents the wonders of the city, both quaint and morbid for Chris Nichols Spooks Tour. Pay tribute to the fallen angels of flight behind the creaking gates of the “Portal of the Folded Wings” at Valhalla Cemetery. Gasp as the modern day homunculi of stop motion and claymation are brought to life by the wizardly Chiodo Brothers. Marvel as centenarian Polly Wagner reunites with King Kong, whose massive paw gripped her in the 1933 film classic. Delight as 18th-century automatons are cranked into mechanized mortality by master prestidigitator John Gaughan. Gasp as the mortician's handiwork, past and present, is illuminated within a private collection of period dioramas. Be witched by the wandering spirits of an abandoned sanitarium. Surprises, some mortifying, some enchanting, will be had along the way. Easily the most eclectic event of the Halloween season. Sold out!
