It’s been a while since I’ve made an escape to a tropical island, but we don’t have to go far to get away. I’ve forgotten how much I used to love buying travel-size items and packing. Vacation planning has two parts: finding the perfect place and deciding what to pack. Here’s a checklist to get you started!

An ideal vacation these days might involve relaxation and being surrounded by nature. My top pick is Elsewhere, located in Topanga Canyon. This private estate is tucked amongst the Santa Monica mountains and feels like you’re worlds away. The gate house rental is a sultry dream that includes a cedar hot tub and an outdoor shower that is pure luxury.

What to bring: (1) a loungewear set with your favorite comfortable slippers and layers that you love as the day chills down (2) cozy pjs (3) swimsuit and flip flops (4) travel toothpaste, toothbrush, mini deodorant, facewash, under-eye mask from @hydropeptide to wear while I soak in the hot tub, and lastly the ultimate leg care (@legologyofficial) which involves dry brushing and a cellulite oil that gets my legs bikini ready.

You don’t have to pack much and now you’re all set to book that weekend getaway and get a change of scenery.
