Watch Out Hollywood – Rising Film Producer- Ariel Lavi Becomes Top Filmmaker, Producer, Screenwriter, and Actor

Ariel Lavi is one of the most promising upcoming filmmakers in fa for creating a lot of buzz with his winning awards short film release “Metanoia-Mexico.” Despite his young years in the industry, he has quickly made his mark internationally in the entertainment industry. Apart from producing films, Ariel Lavi also writes screenplays. Famous publications and media outlets have had sit-downs with Ariel and interviewed this gifted talent of Israeli origin.  Therefore, this is quite a norm for him. So, without further ado, we will proceed with interviewing Ariel Lavi.

Q. Hello, Sir. It’s great to have you here with us. Would you like to share a bit about your background and your journey in the world of films?

A. Hi. It’s an honor to be a guest here on this platform, where I can share facts about my journey. I am an Israeli filmmaker on a mission to entertain a global audience. Hailing from a humble background, my motivation for films helped me attain this height. It wasn’t easy, as most people in this industry would attest, but hard work, creativity, and consistency paid off.

Q. You have been featured in several publications and media outlets already. Can you share some of them?

A. Of course. I appeared as a guest on several talk shows on radio stations and was even interviewed by famous magazines from the entertainment world. The most notable among them is by the award-winning performer and Broadway Singer – David Serero in his Radio show “The Culture News”. I was also interviewed by the Grammy Nominee Yaya Diamond, which CBS, ABC, NBC, and Fox News covered.

Q. Share some of your achievements as a filmmaker

A. To be ranked third by the American Magazine “Honk” in the list of “10 promising young Filmmakers/ Screenwriters/ Producers 2022” with Hollywood Filmmakers is a great accomplishment. In addition, I was also listed among the “Top Successful Middle Eastern Entertainment Stars that are 30 and Under” by the Magazine “Just Dubai”, which is quite famous in middle eastern countries. My films won 17 awards

Q. Although it is quite obvious, we would like to know which film has been a milestone in your career so far.

A. That would be “Metanoia-Mexico”. Regardless of how many hit films I produce or a part of, “Metanoia-Mexico” will always be special to me and the entire cast of this short film that includes Jessica Decote, Laura di Luca, and Carlos Hendrick, written by David Alejandro Gigena Kazimierczak,directed by Moran Avni. Released in 2021, this science fiction LGBTQ short film has won 10 awards and was nominated 6 times in international film festivals.

Q. Please share some of the achievements of “Metanoia-Mexico.”

A. “Metanoia-Mexico” has been streamed on renowned international OTT platforms in Asia like IQiyi- Netflix Of China, and Bilibili. The film won the Best LGBTQ Award of Excellence and Best Drama of Prestige Award at the Vegas Movie Awards. At the Rome International Movie Awards, “Metanoia-Mexico” won the Best award for the LGBTQ category. Best Actress Award went to Jessica Decote, Best Supporting Actress to Laura Di Luca, and Best First Time Director to Moran Avni. The film continues to win the Best LGBTQ Film Award in Los Angeles at the Festigious Film Festival and the Toronto Independent Film Festival of Cift and won Best LGBTQ in New York International Film Awards .

“Metanoia-Mexico” was screened at Cinepolis Hall, Mexico, Alabama, Oregon, London-Lift Off Filmmaker Film Festival at Pinewood Studios, and Ottawa. In addition, it will be screened at Prisma Film Awards in Italy and the Toronto International Nollywood Film Festival.

Q. What are your current plans and immediate ambition?

A. I hope to see my film production  company Lavi Company, based in Miami, FL, producing films worldwide besides the US, Mexico, Nigeria, Dubai, and Canada. As a filmmaker, I am looking forward to a big break in the Hollywood scene, that will allow me to showcase my craft as an actor and screenwriter.
