Dodgers announcer and Baseball Hall of Fame broadcaster Vin Scully was expected to return home Friday after he was hospitalized for a bump on his head suffered in a fall, Fox11 News reported.

Major League Baseball reported the 82-year-old fell and bumped his head Thursday night. He was taken to West Hills Hospital and Medical Center in the San Fernando Valley where he was kept over night. A relative told Fox 11 he would be back home Friday. MLB reported that he was fully expected to be in Arizona Sunday to call a Dodgers exhibition game at Camelback Ranch-Glendale.

In his 61st season with the Dodgers, he's the pope of L.A. baseball.
