Pomona Police believe a stabbing death last night in L.A. County's southeastern outskirts was the fatal result of a family knife fight, City News Service reports.
Victor Aguero, a 24-year-old Pomona man who had apparently been living with his 17-year-old brother in the 200 block of Whitney Avenue, suffered multiple stab wounds at the home around 9:30 p.m.
After police arrived on a disturbance call, Aguero was loaded into an ambulance and rushed to a hospital helicopter waiting nearby.
Sadly, though, he died en route.
The Inland Valley Daily Bulletin reports that Aguero was found “nearby” house, while his teen brother was lingering out front. The younger boy was soon immediately arrested for murder, but the search for a motive is ongoing:
Police said the brothers got into a fight for unknown reasons.
“They chased each other with knives,” Knight said. “The 17-year-old stabbed his brother multiple times.”
Police booked the teen into Los Padrinos Juvenile Hall in Downey on suspicion of homicide. He is being held without bail.
