2 Hospitalized after Plane Accident near Shore Road

PORT ANGELES, WA (August 7, 2023) – Late Saturday night, police responded to a plane crash on Shore Road.

The incident happened on July 29th at around 11:00 p.m. involving a 1964 Piper Cherokee PA-28-235, according to initial reports.

Upon investigation, the plane was occupied by two people when it crashed. Both of them suffered injuries and one had to be removed from the wreckage.

Furthermore, the two injured people were transported to Olympic Medical Center for further treatment of unspecified injuries.

Consequently, the crews arrived at the scene to contain the gas leak. The surrounding area was temporarily closed off to allow for cleanup and preliminary duties.
