Gianluca Conte, known as QCP on TikTok, has gained fame for his pasta content — he may just be the Pasta King of the internet. He recently released his first cookbook, “ITALIAN/AMERICAN,” which features authentic recipes from his Italian and Italian-American heritage, which he discussed in an interview with PAPER Magazine as part of their “Always Scrolling” feature.
“My father is from Italy, so I’ve included half Italian recipes and my mother is from Brooklyn so I’ve included half Italian American recipes,” Conte said. “Both varieties are loved throughout the world so you can enjoy the true best of both worlds.”
Conte enjoys making people’s days with his videos and admires fellow TikToker Nick DiGiovanni. He loves the trend of chopped sandwiches but is very much against calling pasta “noodles.” Lately he’s been chowing at his favorite NYC restaurant, Piccola Cucina, and his current playlists include songs from FISHER and Bryson Tiller. When asked about what he’s been reading lately, he said “My grandfather’s book. It’s called Success the Hard Way: Eight is Not Enough by Victor George Sayegh.” You gotta love a family man.
