81-Year-Old Man Pronounced Dead after Rollover Collision near East Keystone Road

TUCSON, AZ (April 29, 2024) – Thomas Henry Billeter died Tuesday morning in a single-car rollover collision at the 4400 block of Houghton Road.

Police officers responded to the scene around 10:00 a.m., near east Keystone Road on April 23rd.

According to reports, Billeter, 81, lost control of his Volkswagen on Houghton Road, shortly after making a sharp right turn just south of East Escalante Road. Subsequently, the Volkswagen rolled multiple times before coming to a stop at the base of a steep slope.
 
Emergency responders transported Billeter to St. Joseph’s Hospital, where he succumbed to his injuries. Investigators are actively considering whether a medical issue may have contributed to the driver’s loss of control.
 
Authorities have not disclosed additional details regarding the single-vehicle rollover incident on Houghton Road. Updates will be provided by San Francisco Officials as they become available.
