This AI-Powered Family Van Aims to Replace Your SUV—and Your Office

Faraday X’s new FX Super One blends red-carpet luxury with intelligent design, rethinking the MPV for the AI era.

Launching More Than Just a Vehicle

On July 17, Faraday X, the mass-market brand spun out of Faraday Future, launched its first electric vehicle: the FX Super One, a luxury multi-purpose van powered by AI. The event, held in Los Angeles, drew executives, media, investors, influencers, and even celebrities like Fast & Furious actor Cody Walker and racing personality Lindsay Brewer. This reveal marked the beginning of the company’s broader ambition: to redefine what a vehicle can be in an era of embodied intelligence.

Backed by $105 million in new financing, Faraday X also kicked off a paid pre-order campaign. For $100, prospective buyers can now reserve their Super One and secure priority delivery as part of what the company describes as a co-creation opportunity for early adopters.

Designed for People Who Need a Vehicle That Does Everything

What separates the FX Super One from traditional minivans or even luxury SUVs isn’t just style—it’s its full-stack intelligence, reconfigurable layout, and uncompromising blend of leisure and utility.

The FX Super One’s 6×4 EAI architecture underpins the experience. This six-platform system powers the vehicle’s AI features across hardware, cloud, operating system, and mechanical systems. With it comes a vision-language-action (VLA) model and 360-degree sensor suite, allowing for full-scenario awareness and anticipatory interaction—think voice controls, facial recognition, and gesture detection.

Inside, it’s a rolling luxury lounge. Seats are zero-gravity and body-hugging. The cabin features an intelligent all-temperature fridge, fold-out work tables, and a Dolby Atmos immersive entertainment system. Whether you’re heading to a boardroom or a beach, the experience is consistent: comfortable, connected, and curated.

For powertrain, buyers can choose between battery electric and the upcoming AI Hybrid Extended Range (AIHER)configuration, which blends long-distance capability with an electric-first profile. All models come with all-wheel drive, and the flat floor plan includes up to three flexible rows. Rear cargo space? Enough to carry six golf bags—with folding seats that convert to a camper bed in seconds.

All Eyes on Faraday X

The FX Super One is one to keep your eyes on. Their recent launch is a thesis on what Faraday X sees as the future of personal mobility. The brand has intentionally avoided targeting a narrow segment. Instead, they’re launching six variants—four, six, and seven-seat options across two powertrains—to accommodate solo professionals, executives, and entire families.

Faraday X’s playbook is focused on tech democratization. Their flagship FF 91 was a $300,000 showcase of AI design. Now, Super One brings much of that software and sensor suite into a product designed for volume. “Tech luxury, without the $300K price tag,” the company emphasized.

In an industry still chasing full autonomy, Faraday X is instead leaning into embodied intelligence—vehicles that understand, adapt, and even represent their drivers. Whether it’s mood-based lighting or a dynamic grille display that can show a campfire animation at night, the FX Super One aims to offer more than mobility. It offers true presence.
