On Saturday, Life Rolls On hosted the 4th annual They Will Skate Again Shoe City Open. The adaptive skate festival featured a skate clinic for individuals of all ages affected with spinal cord injury and other disabilities to learn adaptive skateboarding moves like a seated spin and to feel the adrenaline of dropping into the skate bowl. Life Rolls On, a subsidiary of the Christopher & Dana Reeve Foundation works to raise awareness of people with spinal cord injury utilizing action sports to improve quality of life. Sponsors for the event included Shoe City, Ezekiel, Lo Fric, Shaun White Supply Co., X Games, and the Venice Skate Association. All photos by Nanette Gonzales.
