The Doors’ Robby Krieger Presents Painting to the Whisky

Robby Krieger presented the Whisky A Go-Go with his painting Light My Fire this week. It was hung inside the club where Robby and his band The Doors first started their career. Amy Maglieri accepted the painting on behalf of the Whisky.

The Doors, of course, were the house band at the Whisky between May and August of 1966, opening for just about every band that performed there. As much if not more than any Sunset Strip rockers of the '80s, The Doors' legend goes hand in hand with that of this famous venue. That Krieger's painting will hang there is perfectly fitting.
