13-Year-Old Boy Pronounced Dead after Two-Vehicle Collision near Country Club Lane

ESCONDIDO, CA (May 2, 2024) – Saturday evening, Alexander Oroz was arrested after a deadly DUI collision on North Broadway and Country Club Lane.

Police officers received dispatch calls in the area at approximately 10:00 p.m. According to reports, officers found several injured individuals at the scene. Emergency responders transported all the victims, including a 13-year-old boy, to nearby hospitals.

There, the teenage victim passed away from his injuries at Palomar Medical Center shortly after arrival. His identity has not been disclosed to the public at this time.

In the meantime, law enforcement apprehended one of the drivers involved in the accident. After initial procedures, 20-year-old Alexander Tito Oroz was charged with felony DUI and gross vehicular manslaughter. Oroz was subsequently booked into the Vista Detention Facility.
