Dennis RomeroCops were looking for a perv they say has tried to grab two teen girls in unincorporated Azusa this summer: Both of the teens got away and, in one case, the victim punched the creep during her escape.
The attempted kidnappings happened this month and last. In both cases, witnesses said the suspect was in a white Nissan pickup, possibly a Frontier with a black box in back, that rolled up on the girls as they walked, authorities said.

… the suspect allegedly grabbed the girls in attempts to get them to go with him, according to an L.A. County Sheriff's Department statement.
The first crime was reported July 28 when the guy tried to grab a 16-year-old walking near Orkney and Fenimore streets, officials said. Two teen friends were nearby.
According to the sheriff's statement:
The suspect reached out from his truck with his left arm and wrapped his arm around the victim's buttocks area and pulled the victim towards him. The victim punched the suspect on the left side of his face, broke free and ran from the suspect. The suspect then drove away.
The latest attempt happened Thursday at 1 p.m. when a man of a similar description tried to grab a 14-year-old at Orange Crest Avenue north of Citrus Edge Street, cops said.
The girl resisted and got away.
The creep is described as a Latino in his 20s or 30s, possibly with long hair protruding from a black baseball cap, which had a green bill bent upward. In one case the black box in the white truck possibly had an orange logo on it.
