Online polls close Sunday at midnight in LAtaco.com's first-annual Taco Madness tourney. In the championship's final round, it's all about Los Feliz versus Santa Monica. Yuca's or Tacos Por Favor? Will this contest be about rallying neighborhood support, or about the place that inspires taco love citywide?

At this writing, Yuca's is leading Tacos Por Favor 51 to 49 percent. As I wrote on Gourmet.com earlier this week, the original bracket of 16 included Loteria Grill, Carnitas Michoacan, El Taurino, La Estrella and, of course, newcomer Kogi BBQ, which battled it out with Tito's Tacos to make it to the Final Four along with the venerable King Taco.

To hear more about the championship, listen to LA Taco's resident taco fanatic Hadley Tomicki being interviewed by Evan Kleiman on KCRW's Good Food on 89.9 FM Saturday morning between 11 a.m. and noon. UPDATE: Evan Kleiman checked in with us to say that Tomicki is actually not on this week's show. Among her guests this Saturday are Clementine's Annie Miller, who is celebrating Grilled Cheese Month, Freudian psychoanalyst Jeffrey Masson on denial and meat eating, Amelia Saltzman on spring asparagus and our own Jonathan Gold on Korean porridge. But if you're still looking for tacos, Kleiman has done a video podcast where she goes around to lots of LA taco trucks, including several that competed in Taco Madness. See it here.

And if you're feeling that your favorite taco stand was robbed in the voting or didn't even make the Sweet 16, tell us about it. We want to know your taco loves and hates. And if you need a little inspiration, here's a link to our own Jonathan Gold's piece from last year on taco trucks: “Notes From the Taquero Resistance.”
