Despite larger than expected waves, dogs took to their surfboards on Friday at Purina Pro Plan Incredible Dog Challenge weekend. Held at Huntington Beach State Park, each dog surfed with three state beach lifeguards in addition to their handlers to ensure safety. The competing dogs enjoyed a blissful morning of sun, waves and tons of attention. All photos by Nanette Gonzales.
