The nerds of the burlesque world, Devil's Playground, are back with the show that made them Internet-famous. Almost five years ago, this group spawned a viral hit with its rousing interpretation of Star Wars. Since then, the show has been beefed up, with more performers and elaborate costumes and props. This Friday, Star Girls Burlesque heads to Dragonfly with 13 characters you'll recognize from a galaxy far, far away. Expect to find Devil's Playground stars such as Sin Fisted, Audrey Deluxe and Olivia Bellafontaine onstage, while Diamondback Annie is set to break out an electric violin for her performance. The regular Devil's Playground performers will be joined by guests Pyrrha Sutra and Cleodora the Contortionist from Phoenix's Scandalesque. The Alien Cantina Band opens with a set of “sci-fi lounge music” that might just remind you of a certain Mos Eisley bar. Audience members can compete in a light saber battle and a costume contest. There also will be a Star Wars–themed art show and tarot readings. Star Girls nights draw a big crowd, so presale tickets are recommended. You'll never find a sexier hive of geekery.
