At Speakeasy, the Last Bookstore's monthly open-mic night, anything goes. On the first Monday of the month, downtown's hippest bookstore might feature comedy, poetry or songs — it all depends on who shows up. Get there early to sign up or just to browse the books while you wait; they're sure to be full of creative inspiration. The gorgeous, two-tiered former bank building that holds the store and its labyrinth of literature isn't bad, either. The Last Bookstore, 453 S. Spring St., dwntwn.; Mon., July 7, 8 p.m.; free.
