Social Distortion get in the Holiday Spirit: After a run of shows at the nearby House of Blues in Anaheim, and then a last minute show-stealing appearance at KROQ’s Almost Acoustic Christmas, SoCal punk icons Social D are closing out the year with a run at the Belasco in L.A. proper.

Back in May, Social Distortion joined forces with Orange County Soccer Club for a special event. A press release read, “Social Distortion’s famous icon, Skelly, will be trading the martini glass for a soccer ball in a special limited edition Official League capsule collection. The collection includes 2 Official League hats, shirt, hoodie and on field kit. Proceeds from sales will raise money for the non-profit organization, Big Brothers Big Sisters of Orange County.”

“Community is at the heart of everything we do,” said OCSC’s SVP of International Dan Rutstein. “Social D are part of the fabric of Orange County, and we wanted to celebrate them and their fans with this special partnership. We can’t wait to have the guys at the stadium and share a celebration of music and sport.”

Soccer and Social D is an interesting combo, but for these nights in the OC the band will be focussed on the music.

Social Distortion get in the Holiday Spirit: The event takes place at  7 p.m. on Thursday, December 22, Friday, December 23, and Wednesday, December 28 at the Belasco.
