In our ongoing series of posts called “New York Shitty” we've repeatedly documented the superiority of Los Angeles over the Big Apple.

But none of our jabs could make the point as well as this story: A cop in New York actually stopped a short-skirt wearing tourist who was riding a bike to inform her she was showing off to much below the waist.

We can almost guarantee you that …

… this would never happen in L.A. Our male cops would stop her for DW-ay-yai-yai, but not for showing too much skin.

As it happens, the woman, Jasmijn Rijcken, runs a Dutch bicycle company and was in town for the New Amsterdam Bike Show, according to the New York Daily News. She says she wasn't ticketed, but that the cop told her:

… It's very disturbing, and it's distracting the cars and it's dangerous.

We would like to personally invite Rijcken to L.A., where she can ride pretty much only wearing a tiny bikini without fear of being stopped (unless it's to ask for her number).
