How you feel about another Friday the 13th can set the tone
for the rest of your weekend. However, astrologically it's a quiet time,
best suited for finishing what began at the solar eclipse in March, because Tuesday
morning, the Aries new moon initiates a new lunar cycle. Thursday the 19th is
officially the day that Saturn in Leo comes out of retrograde, where it's
been headed since early December. Exactly when did your current round of troubles
begin? What about the 100-day flu? To aid in the healing, the Aries sun trines
Pluto at the tail end of Sagittarius that morning.

Aries

The Aries new moon provides a good excuse to have another birthday celebration,
especially if yours took place way back in March. Acknowledging that you're
at the beginning of a brand-new cycle will help clear your plate of the detritus
and debris that fell on the real date, e.g., the otherwise occupied friends, your
reluctance to accept being another year older. Now you'll be free to concentrate
on your Taurus money house and relatively easy ways to transform good intentions
into solid assets. For now: no pain, much gain.

Taurus

Sometimes love is hard to get, and other times it's as easy as falling off
the roof. So while your Venus ruler transits airy Gemini and your head is in the
clouds, try to keep your feet on the ground. Entertaining romantic thoughts about
a client or a prominent person in your field may seem like a good idea, but for
now the potential harm outweighs the benefits. Besides, it could be quite costly.
Better to wait until the month ends before letting your prey know that you're
on the same wavelength as he or she appears to be.

Gemini

There's a window of opportunity opening for Twins who are considering alternative
career objectives. Although more money is always at the back of your mind, right
now choosing the proper partner could be a more important factor. Also, and this
is not negligible, that you'll have greater freedom of expression. Fortunately,
while your Mercury ruler in fiery Aries forms rewarding aspects with Jupiter in
Sagittarius and Saturn in Leo, both objectives are possible. Having magnetic Venus
in your sign is another plus.

Cancer

A new moon usually presents an opportunity to drop what you're doing and
start fresh. Since the Aries lunation this week occurs in your career house, that
might not be such a hot idea. Nevertheless, you could take a different approach
and focus on your own goals instead of what the boss/executive board/government
official wants from you. Wretched excess is about to invade your workplace, and
unless you're a bona fide extrovert (rare for a self-contained Crab), you're
liable to feel like a fish out of water.

Leo

There is lots of good news, not the least of which is Saturn's coming out
of retrograde in your sign on the 19th. Soon you'll sense that steely grip
relax enough for you to lose the feeling that you're bogged down in details
and drudgery. Meanwhile, frisky Jupiter in your Sag house of romance and recreation
is champing at the bit, ready to take you on an adventure you were not expecting.
Other surprises — consider them opportunities to expand a close, potentially
profitable relationship — before the end of April.

Virgo

It looks like you're going on the prowl for other people's money and
whatever other resources they're willing to share. A double whammy of the
trailblazing new moon and your resourceful Mercury ruler in independent Aries
at the same time could lead to bold, atypical behavior for a reticent Virgin.
And because you'll probably receive a measure of support from your extended
family, as well as from a big shot working behind the scenes, you're liable
to be more successful than you imagine. Just don't rely on your partner.

Libra

Mixed messages from the fired-up Aries new moon in your marriage house: Consider
taking a bold leap into the unknown without tossing a precious resource into the
pyre. Feeling adventurous about a partnership matter, yet cautious about a romantic
encounter, seems like a contradiction. However, it's your Venus ruler that's
stoking the fire and, in doing so, nudging you too close to the flames for comfort.
Although the situation is sexy, better to let it percolate until loving Venus
and idealistic Neptune trine on the 30th.

Scorpio

You might be glad to learn that duty-bound Saturn turns direct on the 19th, after
being in retrograde in your Leo midheaven since early December. And while your
career may not have suffered in the intervening months, it probably didn't
advance by leaps and bounds either. Now, will it? Probably around August, when
Saturn forms a rewarding trine with your powerful Pluto co-ruler; perhaps as early
as mid-June, when your Mars co-ruler and Saturn trine. For now, focus on a pleasurable,
compatible partnership instead of a hit-or-miss affair.

Sagittarius

Before the sun leaves Aries for the garden of earthly delights that is Taurus,
consider using the enthusiastic fire energy of the Aries new moon to initiate
a creative or recreational project. Sign up for a softball team or a series of
concerts, anything that'll distract you from the unexpected upsets that
may occur on your home turf. That's the place where destructive Mars joins
unpredictable Uranus on the 28th, a day to be out of the house, but not out of
water or cash. An earthquake, or are the neighbors remodeling?

Capricorn

After four-plus months (since early December) in retrograde, your Saturn ruler
finally turns direct on the 19th. Never again (well, not for another 30 years)
will it backtrack through your Leo house of shared feelings and shared resources
(along with sex magick and death). Whew! While the total leonine experience doesn't
end until August, you could catch sight of a clearing in the jungle that has circumscribed
your life since Saturn entered Leo in August 2005. The sun's shift into
down-to-earth, scratch-my-back Taurus is also good.

Aquarius

Be forewarned that the course of a true romance might not run smoothly until the
end of the month. In the meantime, you can use the friction, i.e., heat, generated
by flirtatious Venus dancing through the Gemini duality to bring in some bucks.
And if the source of that income stream seems unusual, rack it up to having your
unpredictable Uranus ruler in your Pisces money house. While other influences
are circling around you, it's the promise of a sexier social life that'll
turn you on.

Pisces

Seduction, aggravation, or a bit of both? Having macho Mars in your sign sharpens
your edge so that you'll tend to be more direct and possibly more dangerous.
Keep in mind that when the Warrior meets with unruly Uranus as the month ends,
you could easily explode. At the same time, eager-to-please Venus will be rewarding
your Neptune ruler with the artistic goodies they both treasure. The goddess is
also drawing benefits from a generous donor or employer, thereby enabling you
to help the folks at home. Interesting enough?
