Nov. 16-22, 2007
Keep in mind that militant Mars turned retrograde Wednesday
at 13 Cancer, the USA's natal sun degree, and one degree away from W's
natal sun. Will there be an about-face, a reversal of the fortunes of war? The
next 77 days of retracing recent steps taken may tell, and then again, they may
not. Mars flips forward on January 30, two days after Mercury begins its next
retrograde period and a few days before the primaries on February 5. Need a distraction?
How about a hot, provocative square between the aforementioned Mr. Macho and romantic
Venus exact on Monday, but sure to affect your hormones before then. Mercury is
also very busy this week, exchanging information with every sign that isn't
obsessing over hearts and flowers. Sagittarius starts on Thursday. Happy Thanksgiving.

Aries

If you concentrate on romance and its infinite variety, then you won't have
the time or the inclination to think about the ramifications of Thanksgiving and
how long they will last. (With your Mars ruler retrograde for 11 weeks, probably
too long.) But back to the lovey-dovey stuff and Venus' sojourn in your
Libra marriage house. The goddess can draw attractive people to your side until
she moves into sexy Scorpio on December 5. But it's how she comes on to
Mars this week, and the banter that follows, that'll keep you hooked.

Taurus

Every time your romantic Venus ruler contacts sexy Mars, something exciting, well,
at least interesting, follows. Such is the case this week, and while the “meet
cute” can take place at any time and in any location, you might want to
pay particular attention to the reaction you get from folks in the workplace,
both yours and wherever else you go, e.g., the market, the gym, the cleaners.
Then, as the week progresses, a smitten Venus will come under the spell of idealistic
Neptune, and their connection could have you walking on clouds.

Gemini

It's likely that loving Venus in your Libra house of romance and recreation
will cost you real money if you pursue the various pleasures the goddess offers.
So what! Since her annual visit lasts only a few weeks anyway, you might as well
try to gather all the benefits she's willing to hand out. Just be aware
that shortly after Thanksgiving, nebulous Neptune becomes a force when it completes
the airy-fairy grand trine that's been building between Aquarius, Libra
and Gemini. Will your new job bring you back to Earth?

Cancer

You never know where or when the love bug will bite. Keep this in mind as you
wend your way through the long Thanksgiving weekend, visiting friends and, because
romantic Venus is passing through the old neighborhood, relatives and former classmates.
It's the classic attraction between horny Mars, currently in your sign,
and magnetic Venus in lovable Libra that is responsible for the sparks flying
every which way. Although Mars will remain in Cancer for what'll feel like
forever, Venus moves on early next month. Carpe diem.

Leo

There's a lot of chattering going on in your chart, thanks to Mercury passing
through your Scorpio house of domestic affairs and real estate matters. Maybe
the conversation will center on the Thanksgiving feast; maybe you'll have
money matters to discuss when Uranus in your house of investments and insurance
changes direction and, once again, looks to the future instead of the past. But
if all that talking wears on your nerves, as well it might, you can find relief
in a recreational activity, especially the heart-thumping kind.

Virgo

Right now, your tuned-in Mercury ruler is the busiest of the planets, hopping
from pillar to post and exchanging messages with most of the signs along the way.
Seriously, while the Messenger of the Gods transits your Scorpio house of communication,
commerce and commuting, you can't help but play a crucial role at Command
Central. Just make sure you leave enough time free to deal with the sudden changes
in a relationship that may occur when unpredictable Uranus in your Pisces house
of partners comes out of retrograde on the 24th.

Libra

It may seem redundant, but while your lovable and loving Venus ruler is in your
sign, there's no reason to direct your attention to anything else. Certainly
not while virile Mars in nurturing Cancer is devising a plan to seduce the goddess
over the holiday weekend. Will the bait take the form of a deep-fried turkey or
a devilishly delicious stuffing? There's also an addictive element to this
scheme that might not show up until amorphous Neptune, ruler of mind-altering
substances, lavishes Venus and you with its gifts as the holiday ends.

Scorpio

Anytime there's a possibility that you can hook up, the Scorpion needs to
know when, the whys and the wherefores. Since you have two ruling planets, Mars
and Pluto, and they both convey passion and determination, you'll be pleased
(unless you're very much married) to learn that your Mars co-ruler, in the
empathetic water sign of Cancer, is about to chance a romantic relationship with
Venus. How serious it'll be and how long it'll last depend in part
on how things progress once Venus enters Scorpio on December 5. Anticipation.

Sagittarius

Steel yourself for the very real probability that Uranus, changing direction in
your Pisces house of domesticity and family affairs, could have a dramatic impact
on your plans for the Thanksgiving holiday. But be glad that the agile Centaur
is able to make whatever adjustments may be necessary without so much as breaking
a sweat. However, handling natives of the fixed signs won't be easy; they
stick to their guns. While Cancer and Capricorn, the cardinal traditionalists,
will insist on sticking to the menu.

Capricorn

No matter how involved you are in your career or a community event, it's
your partner who's likely to be the object of attention from the governing
powers. Mars in your Cancer marriage house may receive an opportunity to become
involved in whatever popular project Venus in judicious Libra has in mind. Meanwhile,
your pragmatic Saturn ruler, in the discerning sign of Virgo, puts you in an excellent
position to give good advice, especially about financial matters, including the
“dream come true” you hope to find under your Christmas tree.

Aquarius

Aquarius is one of the signs on the verge of falling head over heels into infatuation
during the compelling attraction between Venus and Mars this week. It's
primarily because imaginative Neptune in your sign envisions more than what meets
the eye that makes you so vulnerable to the passing glance or casual touch on
the arm. But now that you've been warned, let's hope that you can
thread your way through the chaos that may result from your Uranus ruler's
turnaround on the 24th. You should feel the tremors a few days before.

Pisces

Again, reading for Aquarius may give you a heads-up on what could be in store
for the Fish when Uranus in your sign comes out of retrograde after five months
lying dormant. Plus, you'll be warned well in advance of the fantasy that
might get out of hand when romantic Venus perfects a rewarding air-sign trine
to your berromantic Neptune ruler. Artists can take this inspirational connection
to glorious new heights, but how will you express it, and could your interpretation
land you behind bars? “But I did it for love” might not fly.
